Stevens Engineering was called upon to investigate the feasibility of converting an existing Go Cart Track into a Snow Tubing Park. The firm was chosen not only based upon its expertise in snow tubing park planning and design but its proven experience in civil and structural engineering. The entire go cart venue was removed from the site and plans for Ober Gatlinberg Snow Tubing were implemented. A true masterpiece of Snow Tubing and Engineering creativity involving: alteration of the existing utility infrastructure, grading and drainage design, terrain dynamics engineering, park capacity analysis and circulation planning. The conveyor can serve the snow tubing park and adjacent ski slopes simultaneously.
